If you or your clients are still trying to figure out the best diet (nutritional program) because you hate to restrict foods, can’t stick to low carb diets, want to include simple and complex carbs in to your diet and can’t buy into the “intermittent fasting” fad, I’ve got an alternative. The topic of nutrition is dear to me but It’s bothered me for a long time that I couldn’t find a workable program to implement into my life nor into my bootcampers lives. I can use willpower to follow a low carb diet but why should I? I’ve done it many, many times as a former competitive bodybuilder and I always ballooned up in weight after the contest. When my clients asked me for nutritional advice I’d almost turn and run the other way, simply because of the iron willpower I know they’re going to need to have any LONG TERM success…which leads me to the “Human Behavior Aspect”.
THE HUMAN BEHAVIOR ASPECT (The missing link)
We live in a time of fast food restaurants on every corner, ads on TV, radio, mags, social media, etc. Those things are not going away. McDonald’s will not be shut down by the govt any time soon. So we have to learn to coexist. I like to use this example to make a point:
My competitive days are over but I still want energy, to look fit and to feel fit. For the last 3 years, I’ve made it my mission to research tons of diets to hopefully find that one tip that will make eating easier for today’s busy “digital age” person. I want to eat. I want energy. I don’t want bloat or food rotting in my stomach.
NO MORE SWAMP STOMACH
My friend Joe Vitale used the term “swamp” to describe indigestion during my regular visit with him this weekend. That’s so accurate. When you construct your foods incorrectly as 99% of the population is doing, you get “swamp stomach” – food ferments, rots, causes gas, pain, bloat. Forget about losing weight in that scenario. You’ll be lucky to absorb enough nutriments to power through your day with swamp stomach.
