Yes, just like you I’ve been overindulging a bit lately.
Let me plead my case. I can sum my excuses up in 3 words:
Sound vaguely similar to your excuses? Don’t even tell me that you have had NO desire to dig into some Halloween candy. It’s unhuman (is that a word?) and it’s down right Scrooge like.
The kids bring home treats from school. We make them treats for school parties so we have all of this crap food (but tasty) laying around. What’s a guy to do? Not support the local schools?
I watch lots of football on the weekends while I’m hanging around the house and of course, a guy has to eat. So I eat football watching type of food. It’s not the cleanest nor the leanest. But by Sunday night I’m done and am ready to get back on the clean eating wagon.
Plus I feel bad because I maybe ate too much.
I’ve avoided the scale and avoided weighing myself for 2 months just because I thought I had added 8 lbs or more. Last time I weighed was a couple of months ago and I weighed 175lbs. I decided to weigh this morning and was SHOCKED to have only gained 1.7lbs!
Now this is where you and your clients come in. You guys probably have this same challenge. You and your clients have lots of holiday temptations around this time of the year. Clients gain weight, give up on bootcamp and say “I’ll be back after the holidays”. Even if they don’t quit your bootcamp, they’re still packing on the pounds. I know mine used to.
The reason that I did not put on extra weight as I have before is because of what I like to call “The Bootcamp Diet”. Believe it or not, the principles have been around since the late 1800’s!
I’ve dug up the nutritional information, dusted it off, tweaked it and brought these methods into the year 2013.
It’s not a low carb, low calorie diet. (It’s not a high carb or high calorie diet either 🙂 My wife is so happy with this diet because it’s hard for her to put weight back on – even though she is currently not working out consistently and has gone a little off the diet due to a teething, fussy 1 year old who doesn’t sleep through the night (you can hear him in the video below).
