It’s that time of the year again.
I love it. I stay up late watching scary movies like Paranormal Activity 4, Halloween 1 – 6, The Conjuring, etc. I think evil thoughts and evil bootcamp workouts. The absolute scariest and toughest bootcamp workout that I have implemented in my bootcamp is called “Ura Goner” or “P.O.C”. (pyramid overload circuit). It’s an individual, partner or team workout that can be tweaked and adjusted for maximum evilness. All you need are 10 – 20 cones and some body weight exercises. You can do it at the park or on a parking lot.
Now I should warn you. There is a little bit of running in this workout. You can adjust the amount of running by adjusting the space in between the cones. The further apart the cones, the more running. Your runners will love it, your non-runners (like me) will hate it (and hate you).
But they’ll only hate you for a day or 2 and then they’ll come crawling back for more pain and pleasure. Make sure you take some pictures or better yet, a video. I’d love to see them/it.
This was one of the first really intense workouts that I used in my bootcamp when I first started in 2005. I made the decision to be one of the tough bootcamps not one of the “fluff” bootcamps. It was a good decision because people began to talk. Word spread about this crazy dude who got paid to inflict pain and suffering and somehow could make people come back for more. You know what I mean, right?
Anyway, here is the video of me explaining the workout in one of my nearly famous screencasts.
